Designation: Test Technician at San Jose, California, Onsite Contract
Roles & Responsibilities
Diagnose and trouble shoot handlers/Probers/Test stations when problems arise, working with local engineers and vendors (if needed) to bring up equipment.
Support the setup and frequent docking/undocking ATE to prober/handler based on daily engineering/production activities.
Troubleshoot occasional test board performance issues and elevate to engineers for permanent fix.
Perform device level testing by hand or using automated handler and test equipment.
Follow procedure for prober and handler setups.
Perform device level testing by hand using ATE and test equipment.
Visual inspection of parts in preparation for backend activities (bake, pack, labeling etc...) and support backend activities as needed.
Gather engineering data by using Oscilloscopes, network analyzers, multi-meters and basic semiconductor test equipment.
Support off shift, weekend and holiday activities as needed.
Competency Requirements:
Familiar with IC tester operator test program loading.
Capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
Capable of working closely with application, product and test engineering teams.
Self-starter, completing tasks with minimal supervision.
Willing to take on challenging technical activities and troubleshooting equipment.
Ability to multi-task while paying careful attention to detail.
Be able to communicate well with engineers and across functional support groups.
Familiar with probers a plus.
Minimum Qualifications:
Technical Diploma.
At least 3 years experience testing semiconductors on ATE setups.
Knowledgeable in basic semiconductor test processes.
