The Division Plasma Control Technologies (PCT) is Comet's largest division and a global leader in developing and producing high-performance Vacuum Capacitors, RF Matches and RF Generators for the semiconductor industry. Reporting directly to the VP Controlling & Strategic Development PCT, you will be responsible for leading all Controlling tasks within the division globally and acting as the deputy to the VP Controlling and Strategic Development PCT.
Responsibilities:
Manufacturing
Monitor, verify and maintain BOMs (Bill of Materials) in the SAP system.
Other duties as assigned by Management. Travel may require 10-20%.
Improve NPI product transition in terms of time and efficiency by delivering each tasks on the NPI check list i.e. BOM challenges/Proto build/OMS/PFMEA/etc.
Create assembly and test instructions (OMS) to support NPI and train production personnel.
Design and development of any production tools/fixtures and poke yoke tools.
Assists in capacity and resource planning for the production lines.
Participate in line setup and cycle time reduction activities through Kaizen projects.
Actively participate in the transfer of products between COMET's Production facilities in the US, Switzerland, and China.
Effectively utilize lean manufacturing tools for continuously improve the flow of material and information in the factory including factory layouts, visual management, 5S, JIT, Kanban.
Assist in conducting training as and when the need arises and engaging all employees in the site to drive Kaizen.
Conduct failure analysis (RCCA), create failure reports and implement solutions to the root cause.
Testing
Maintaining and upgrading of existing test-fixtures/systems and production testing software.
Support of Design automation test fixtures and related software/firmware for high power RF electro-mechanical devices (RF matching networks)
Work with design engineering teams to define test strategies that comply with corporate/customer goals!
Leads test fixture equipment maintenance program and coordinates efforts accordingly.
Lead Loadsim maintenance program from mechanical & electrical integrity and business continuity point of view.
Leads team in the use of DFx principles to reduce costs & reduce test time and improve delivered quality.
Determines root cause and corrective action analysis for issues that arise during design and deployment of test fixtures and provides failure analysis report as required.
Evaluates work methods, procedures, and policies. Develops and maintains new business processes; edits as necessary to ensure current practices are documented.
Mentor and train test technicians.
Performs Process Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis when working with New Product Development
Support other locations in test procedures und fixtures of transferred products.
Lead in the evaluation of Test fixture or product through gathering statistical data and presenting to internal design review meetings.
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standards and procedures and by complying with legal regulations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
BS Degree in Electrical, electronic or RF Engineering.
Working knowledge of SAP and Project management tools such JIRA are desirable
Demonstrates hands-on experience and capability to drive Lean- Six Sigma in factory environment in electronics manufacturing.
5+ years of hands-on experience working with RF systems with > 1 kW at 350 kHz to 200 MHz.
Previous experience working with RF Matching Network Networks and Generators.
Proven working knowledge of the proper use and handling of test instruments including RF Network Analyzers, RF Impedance Analyzers, RF Power meters, Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, high voltage probes, LCR bridges, RF calibration kits, DVMs, Function Generators, Capacitance, and Inductance meters, etc.
Working knowledge of JMP, Minitab or other statistical analytics tool
Confluence, Jira, and SAP experience good to have.
Have 5S, LEAN Manufacturing experience.
Is open to flexible hours requiring occasional evening and weekend work.
Knowledge of SPC, JMP, and or Minitab is highly desirable.
5+ years of related experience in the manufacturing industry of which 3+ years as NPI role
3 + years of Semiconductor equipment manufacturing is a must

The target salary range for this job is approximately $115,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year.
