SUNY Broome Community College is seeking candidates for a part-time Staff Assistant in the Ice Center. The Staff Assistant reports directly to the Assistant Director of Facilities Management (Ice Center).
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Manages staff assigned to skate rental shop and other building services.
Directs activity of on-duty ice guards and security personnel.
Manages ice sheet systems and related Ice Center systems.
Directs and monitors all groups renting ice time.
Operates ice cleaning equipment.
Performs other related duties as assigned which may include activity in other college facilities.
*Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays is necessary.
Requirements:
Training and/or experience in an ice arena or similar environment expected.
Ability to drive large motorized vehicles.
Associate's degree preferred or a suitable combination of equivalent training and experience.
Additional Information:
The hourly salary for this position is $24.38.
Offers of employment will be conditional based upon the results of a satisfactory, required pre-employment Standard Background Check.
