Our pipelines transport natural gas, refined petroleum products, crude oil, condensate, CO2 and other products. Our terminals trans load and store liquid commodities including petroleum products, ethanol and chemicals, and bulk products, including petroleum coke, metals and ores.
Position Description:
This position is located within the Procurement and Administration department in the Strategic Sourcing group.
The successful candidate will support strategic sourcing activities, programs, and categories for our shared services.
Categories managed in the group include but are not limited to IT, Leased Labor, Heavy Equipment, Pipeline Integrity, Compression, Lubricants and Chemicals.
Job Duties:
Lead multi-functional stakeholder teams on specific strategic sourcing initiatives or projects.
Apply understanding of Kinder Morgan business needs to the development and execution of sourcing initiatives.
Create and present strategy and results to all levels of leadership.
Support supplier issues for assigned categories.
Analyze spend data and industry dynamics from multiple sources to support sourcing initiatives and category management.
Develop and execute negotiating strategies using cost models, contract knowledge, risk awareness and market intelligence to establish acceptable negotiation boundaries.
Monitor, interpret and leverage market intelligence data to formulate sourcing and negotiation strategies.
Gain consensus on acceptable risk levels and contract language with all stakeholders including Legal, Risk, EHS and Business Unit leadership.

Position Requirements
Education:
Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or other related discipline is preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a purchasing/procurement environment is required.
Minimum 10 years of experience in a purchasing/procurement environment required in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
