Trinity Health of New England is looking for a dynamic Certified Surgical Technologist to join our dedicated, high performing Joint Replacement Orthopedic team. The Nationally recognized CJRI has dedicated Inpatient private rooms. We have 8 operating rooms all together. 6 are dedicated to total joints and 2 are dedicated to Spine. What you will do
This position is responsible for supporting Spine cases for SFHMC the Comprehensive Spine Institute Operating Rooms.
A dedicated team of CST's and RN's cover 24/7-365 days/year coverage of a busy Level 1 spine trauma center.
Works with the team to scrub case and coordinate equipment, instrument, and implant needs.
Our program utilizes the BrainLab technology with the first intraoperative CT imaging scan in the State of CT.
Works collaboratively with the OR team, Anesthesiology, Radiology, and various patient care areas to obtain maximum efficiency of daily schedule and optimal patient outcomes under direction of the Director, the Comprehensive Spine Institute
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology.
Licensure: Certified CST.
Certification: BLS required; Prefer 1 year of specialized spine and neuro training in a level 1 or 2 hospital. New Requirement as of 10/1/2023, New grads have 18 months to provide proof of certification. THONE gives 2 chances to pass licensure exam.
