What is a day in the life of an Intern like at KPFF?

  • You will be collaborating with our team of seasoned engineers on ACTUAL projects during all phases of the design and construction process

  • Conducting structural analysis, simulations, and calculations in Revit, RAM, RISA, etc

  • Utilizing Revit to create drawings and specifications.

  • Participating in site visits and inspections to gain practical insights into construction processes.

  • Contributing your ideas and solutions to help enhance project efficiency and integrity.

Qualifications

  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor's Degree program in Civil or Architectural Engineering with an emphasis in structures.
  • Completion of at least 90 credits, including two or more design courses (e.g., structural analysis, mechanics of materials, concrete, steel, wood, or masonry) by the start of the internship.
  • Basic knowledge of structural engineering fundamentals (e.g., free body diagrams, P/V/M diagrams).
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong technical and organizational abilities, with an ability to work collaboratively.
