GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The purpose of this classification is to provide opportunities for inmates to acquire positive educational outcomes and necessary life and workforce readiness skills to assist with transition back into society or treatment.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Associate's degree, vocational technical degree, or specialized training equivalent to satisfactory completion of two (2) years of college education in field related to job
Two (2) years of related experience
Additional years of related education may substitute for years of experience

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Plan, organize, facilitate, and monitor trainings, programs, workshops and learning experiences that increase acquisition of positive educational outcomes, life skills, and/or workforce readiness skills for inmates
Maintain communication and engage with other community partners, colleges, community based organizations and employers to develop relationships directly impacting inmates and programmatic success
Facilitate and instruct trainings, exercises, or counseling
Document and maintain accurate files, data and records
Communicate changes as evidence based practice trends evolve
Escort program participants as needed
Performs related work as assigned
