Title: Certified Medical Assistant
Location: Alpharetta, GA
Hours: 7:30a to 5p Monday - Friday
About the Role:
As a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), you will play a crucial role in our healthcare team, providing both administrative and clinical support to medical providers. This position requires a blend of technical skills, strong communication abilities, and a genuine dedication to patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently schedule and manage patient appointments
- Seamlessly handle patient check-in and check-out processes
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Process insurance claims and address billing inquiries
- Manage medical supplies and inventory
- Accurately take and record vital signs
- Assist with medical examinations and procedures
- Prepare patients for examinations and treatments
- Administer medications as directed by a physician
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens
- Perform basic laboratory tests (e.g., urinalysis, rapid strep tests)
- Assist with minor procedures (e.g., wound care, injections)
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited medical assistant program
- Current CMA certification
- Must possess a valid CMA license in the state of Georgia.
- Prior medical office experience required
- BLS certification
- Allscripts EMR experience preferred
