Our Captains are responsible for the safe conduct of flights to which they are assigned and has final authority in the operation of the aircraft. Captains must ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and local and foreign regulations, as well as the policies and procedures specified in the IS-BAO company operations manual. This role is our most visible representative to the passengers and must act with tact and decorum while ensuring an efficient and safe operation.
Responsibilities/Expectations:
Acts as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) of flights for which the pilot has been assigned, while providing excellent customer service to passengers
Follows schedules and other directives governing aircraft's operation; ensures pre-flight inspections are performed in a timely, accurate manner
Studies weather conditions at departure and arrival airports in addition to en route and alternate airports; prepares flight plans
Ensures that the aircraft is clean and prepared for flight with all provisions onboard for the safety and comfort of passengers
Adheres to the checklist and cockpit resource management; supervises the first officer (second-in-command) in any duties vital for the safe, smooth, and efficient operation of the aircraft
Coordinates crew functions and supervises performance while sharing knowledge with other crew members and evaluating their potential for advancement
Makes decisions to start, delay, and deviate from a planned route or destination as the need arises
Adopts the EH&S management system framework as a blueprint for working safely

Education/Years of Experience:
Required: Some college/Associate's degree; a minimum of four (4) years of related experience with three (3) years experience as Captain and/or PIC
Preferred: Bachelor's degree; C750 and G280
Other Requirements:
Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
Successfully completed 4,000 hours total time and a minimum of 1,000 hours of turbine time
Possesses Airline Transport Rating and FAA First Class Medical certification
