Job Description
Join the Prime Design Group at KPFF in Northern California and seize a unique opportunity to leverage your structural engineering expertise in a dynamic big-picture role beyond the daily design work. Based in either our Sacramento or San Francisco office, you'll take the lead on impactful, multi-disciplinary projects for a diverse range of clients including public agencies, transportation authorities, and industrial firms.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Architecture/Engineering, or a related field;
At least five years of experience in structural engineering, demonstrating progressive growth and leadership in project management. Consulting experience with architects and contractors is a plus.
California PE or SE license preferred.
Skilled in project management and design software, including MS Project, AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam.
Strong ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders clearly and accurately.
Highly organized with the capability to keep teams focused on priorities and key next steps.
Familiar with quality control and quality assurance processes, including performing integrated design reviews for complex projects.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Duties are primarily conducted in a standard office setting, requiring prolonged sitting at a desk or computer table.
Occasionally, may be required to lift objects weighing up to 15 lbs.
Occasionally visiting project locations and performing field inspections, which may involve walking, standing, kneeling, or navigating uneven terrain.
Additional Information
Compensation We offer a competitive base salary for this role, tailored to your experience, education, and skills, with an expected range of $110,000 - $160,000. Additionally, we recognize and reward outstanding contributions with performance-based bonuses.
