Position Overview The Senior Grant Accountant plays a vital role in managing and overseeing the financial aspects of grant funding. This position ensures compliance with grant requirements and regulations while providing accurate financial reporting and analysis to support the organization's mission in the non-profit sector.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the full cycle of grant accounting, including budget creation, tracking, and reporting.
Ensure compliance with grant agreements and federal regulations throughout the grant lifecycle.
Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and analyses related to grants.
Coordinate with program managers to monitor grant expenditures and ensure alignment with budgets.
Process accounts payable and manage expense allocations for grant-related activities.
Assist in the preparation of annual audits and financial reviews related to grants.
Collaborate with finance and budgeting teams to develop financial forecasts for grant funding.
Maintain accurate records of grant contracts and related documentation.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in grant accounting or financial management in a non-profit setting.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and grant management regulations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting software.
Experience with budgeting, analysis, and financial reporting.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
