Job Description Location: Hybrid in Marlborough, MA
Duration: ~5 Months (strong potential to convert to a FTE role)
Pay Rate: up to $42.50 an hour/ DOE
Our client in the Retail space, has a need for a Senior Store Planner! This contract role will be roughly for 5 months and 40 hours a week with the high potential of converting to a full-time role. This role does require to be onsite Tuesday and Wednesday every week. This role will be responsible for working on processes and projects as it relates to new store openings, store construction, expanding stores, and remodels.
Senior Store Planner Responsibilities
Gather and analyze project data to design site-specific plans, and create architectural drawings that meet client standards and construction specifications, balancing design and operational needs.
Project manage store design projects and handle from the administrative side of the process.
Troubleshoot site-specific challenges and develop creative solutions to resolve problems.
Proactively partner with both internal and external teams to communicate changes and resolve project scheduling conflicts.
Responsible for ensuring timely and accurate distribution and archiving of drawings and project data to meet Construction and Real Estate store opening schedules.
Assist Store Planning Management in training and providing technical guidance to Store Planners and outside consultants with regards to implementation of planning guidelines and chain specific prototype requirements for new stores, relocations, expansions, remodels, and special projects for designated Client chains.
Delegate projects to Store Planners and outside consultants, ensuring timely and accurate distribution of drawings to meet Construction and Real Estate store opening schedules.
Senior Store Planner Qualifications
6+ years related planning experience, preferably in retail design, store planning, interior design or architecture.
Education (preferred):
Associates Degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering Technology, or Interior Design OR equivalent Certificate.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Law Degree.
Must have working knowledge of REVIT (explain usage in resume or summary) and ACAD/AUTOCAD (required)
Retail store and fixture layout preferred but open to experience with an architectural firm.
Strong understanding of retail store operations, building architecture, construction procedures and related codes.
