Project Superintendent - Asphalt Paving Position Overview Our construction company is seeking a skilled and experienced Project Superintendent for our asphalt paving projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of asphalt paving projects to ensure they are completed safely, on time, and within budget. (Scope: Paving, asphalt, commercial parking lots, roadways, municipal, HOA roadways)
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and supervise all aspects of asphalt paving projects, including scheduling, budgeting, quality control, and safety compliance
Ensure that all work is completed in accordance with project plans, specifications, and applicable regulations
Manage project budgets and schedules, and make necessary adjustments to ensure timely completion
Monitor project progress and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise
Oversee all subcontractors and vendors, and ensure that they meet project requirements
Maintain effective communication with project team members, clients, and other stakeholders
Qualifications
Minimum of 3+ years of experience in heavy highway and road construction
Expertise in asphalt paving and associated equipment
Knowledge of DOT and FDOT regulations and requirements
Scope: Paving, asphalt, commercial parking lots, roadways, municipal, HOA roadways
Excellent leadership and team management skills
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field is preferred
