The Senior Product Owner will play a key role in driving the development and success of next-generation, guest-focused digital experiences. This role involves working closely with internal clients to identify and design digital solutions, managing the backlog, and translating business needs into actionable components for engineering teams. You will oversee the full lifecycle of product development, from concept to deployment, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. The role also involves presenting final solutions to stakeholders and clients to confirm expectations are met.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, end users, product engineering, and technology operations to identify needs and challenges.
Own and drive components of the digital guest experience by creating and managing a product roadmap.
Define the vision, scope, and objectives of assigned digital products, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
Create and prioritize user stories, manage the product backlog, and communicate business value and expectations to stakeholders and development teams.
Act as a liaison between business and technical teams, translating business needs into technical specifications.
Engage in guest journey mapping to enhance user-focused digital experiences and identify opportunities for improvement.
Oversee Agile ceremonies and ensure adherence to Agile principles, collaborating closely with Scrum teams.
Track and evaluate product progress, incorporating feedback and adjusting backlogs as needed.
Advocate for product vision and communicate trade-offs to management and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with the roadmap.
Monitor and report on product status while ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
Support Change Management and Training teams by providing user manuals and process documentation.
Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in product management and web development.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, IT, or a related field; or 8+ years of equivalent work experience.
5+ years of experience in product management, Agile Product Owner, or Scrum Master roles.
Proven ability to balance scope, budget, and timeline, making trade-offs as necessary to meet stakeholder objectives.
Background in digital or eCommerce products, with expertise in enhancing guest-focused digital experiences.
Strong communication, leadership, and negotiation skills to inspire and align cross-functional teams.
Experience with business process mapping, re-engineering, and Lean/Six Sigma concepts.
Proficiency in Agile frameworks, including Scrum ceremonies, roles, and tools.
Preferred Skills and Certifications:
Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Product Owner (CSPO), or PMP certification is highly desirable.
Experience in user journey mapping and customer-facing internet solutions.
Strong understanding of prototyping, iterative development, and Agile methodologies.
Proficiency in product management tools, project management software, and documentation platforms.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects effectively and deliver end-to-end solutions, such as dashboards, APIs, and real-time alerts.
