Job Description:
The Systems Engineer is responsible for:
- Analyzing customer specifications, industry standards, and local processes to develop design requirements
- Managing the design technical solution, adhering to the input requirements
- Managing and implementing requirements changes
- Leading collaborative problem solving that balances risk, time, cost
- Providing technical solutions and estimates for change orders
- Analyzing and mitigating design risks
- Interfacing and guiding electrical hardware and software engineering professionals to execute the work
- Preparing, submitting, and defending design documentation with external customers
- Occasionally acting as an overall Project Engineer on smaller projects
The position's minimum requirements are:
- 8-15 years' experience in a requirements management position
- Experience (desired) or familiarity (minimum) with requirements design tools such as DOORS, Jazz, MS Excel, others
- BS Engineering degree
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Practical experience working in collaborative teams with 1-5 engineers under direction of a senior Project Engineer
