Title: IT Support Specialist (TBD)
Summary
The IT Support Specialist will provide optimal support of all department's Information Technology needs as required in order to carry out the strategic and operational plans of the company. This position will be integral in maintaining computer hardware and software systems, using diagnostic tools to perform a broad range of equipment maintenance and repair. This position is also responsible for installing new programs, managing updates and providing technical support.
Job Responsibilities
Assists in supporting the needs of the organization by responding to and assisting in the resolution of assigned IT Service Tickets.
Assisting and resolving technical issues with hardware or software systems, implements corrective action procedures within prescribed guidelines and/or escalates to other technical resources.
Installs, assembles and configures computers, monitors and peripherals (printers, scanners, related hardware).
Installation and support of desktop and server software, installation and repairs as needed to hardware and peripherals.
Install, configure and tests of updates, upgrade to systems hardware/software, and ensure compatibility for computer workstations and networks.
Maintains an inventory of hardware assets, installed software, and manages software licensing.
Administers user accounts and verification of security access levels.
Assessing user needs and recommending technical solutions such as patches, upgrades or enhancements.
Follow-through on tasks/projects until completion and consistently keep customers informed on status.
Help create and maintain end user/IT documentation, procedures and policies.
High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy.
Qualifications
Thorough understanding of Microsoft Operating systems and Microsoft Office 365.
Exceptional verbal and written communication
Excellent Customer Services Skills
Education and/or Experience
Associate's degree in a computer related field a plus (recent work experience providing end user technical support may be substituted in lieu of degree).
2 years of experience in a computer support role with knowledge of computing hardware, software, and desktop implementation/support preferred.
A+ Certification as a Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician a plus.
Experience with Microsoft 365 required; Experience with Power Automate a plus.
