The Sr. Architect - Senior works on multiple IT projects as a member of a project team and is responsible for the overall direction, guidance and definition of an architecture program that effectively supports Clients Business Strategy. They assist in facilitating the development of the future-state architecture, ensuring its effective adoption. Further, Solution Architects interface across all business areas, acting as visionaries to proactively assist in defining the direction for future projects. They also conceive strategies, solutions, build consensus, and sell/execute solutions and are also involved in all aspects of the project life cycle, from the initial kickoff through the requirements analysis, design, and implementation.
The Solution Architect ensures applications and servers are built with best practices, reusability, and an understanding of how to use technology to best meet business needs. The role mirrors Clients commitment to provide support to ensure projects are designed and built to support Enterprise Architecture.
The Solution Architect demonstrates the ability to think and operate on both the strategic and tactical levels (e.g., He/she is able to devise a short-term solution that complements the longer-term goals).
He/she serves as a Change Agent who effectively challenges the status quo and helps the team embrace improved methods and newer technologies.
He/she will be responsible for meeting and presenting to the Enterprise Architecture Review Council to gain approval and advice from all areas of IT to ensure sustainable services and applications are created.
Deliverables
Create formal Conceptual and Solution Architectures and present to senior staff, business, and the Enterprise Architecture Review Council.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree, specialized training, or equivalent work experience
Requires eight (8) to fifteen (15) years of experience in multiple IT areas and five (5) to seven (7) years of relevant technology architecture experience
Hands on Network Access Control (NAC) experience to coincide with required years of experience
Hands on Cisco ISE experience to coincide with required years of experience
Hands on Cisco DNA experience to coincide with required years of experience
