Job Overview:
Optomi has partnered with a leading organization to find their next experienced Agile Project Manager. To lead and manage high-priority application development projects, ensuring successful delivery on time, within budget, and within scope. This hybrid role combines project management responsibilities with product release support, requiring coordination across cross-functional teams and occasional after-hours work to address critical business needs.
Responsibilities:
Drive projects from initial concept through final implementation, collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Define project scope, objectives, and detailed work plans, schedules, and estimates.
Develop and maintain project schedules, identifying milestones, task dependencies, critical paths, and ETAs.
Manage the change control process, maintaining and documenting process flows for the Business Unit.
Monitor and track project performance, timelines, cost, and quality, conducting regular status meetings to evaluate progress.
Serve as the primary liaison between technical teams (e.g., Application Development Engineers) and stakeholders, ensuring alignment and clear communication.
Support product releases and respond to off-hour requests during emergencies or critical incidents.
Communicate project status updates to stakeholders, proactively addressing risks, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
Facilitate Agile processes, including scrum meetings and sprint planning, in a SAFe environment.
Qualifications:
Ideally 5+ years of experience in project management, implementations, or consulting roles.
Proven track record managing cross-functional projects successfully from initiation to completion.
Expertise in Agile methodologies (e.g., SAFe, Scrum) and familiarity with sprint processes.
Strong technical collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with Application Development Engineers.
Proficiency in Jira and other Agile project management tools.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to manage stakeholder expectations and encourage collaboration.
Experience developing and managing comprehensive project plans that align with organizational goals.
Proven ability to handle multiple priorities, navigate tight timelines, and manage competing demands effectively.
