The Royalty Relations Analyst will serve as a key member of the Land Administration team in our Northwest, Houston office with responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following:
Field all client royalty relations inquiries (phone, fax, e-mail) and respond to each inquiry within the designated time frame
Ensure completeness and accuracy in the recording of all royalty relations inquiries into Opportune's royalty relations log
Assist in the logging & filing of all necessary land related paperwork
Responsible for the scanning of all land documents, and adhering to regulations governing Opportune's client document management efforts
Assist staff in entering/maintaining name & address records into the system, tracking all necessary documentation received, updating all necessary direct deposit information upon client's request, and corresponding with the client/land manager upon completion of these updates
Assist staff in audit selection testing process, escheat reporting, owner 1099 inquiries, as well as other additional tasks
Qualifications:
This position requires a bachelor's degree. Candidates with a minimum on one (1) year of experience working in land administration is preferred.
Written and verbal communication skills; excellent customer service skills with internal and external parties
Candidates must have a strong math aptitude and be detail-oriented
Experience utilizing Land Systems; BOLO experience preferred
Flexibility, multi-tasking, problem-solving, time management and organization skills required
Self-starter, ability to work independently at assigned tasks and to work as a team member within the department
Willingness to accept a work schedule with various demands which will vary as departmental workload/projects fluctuate
