This top-tier company is at a pivotal stage of growth, with significant projects launching in 2025 in collaboration with two major Investor-Owned Utilities (IOUs). The Transmission Line Engineer role is integral to driving the success of these high-impact projects.
Position Summary:
The Transmission Line Engineer will focus on the design, analysis, and construction support of high-voltage transmission line systems. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, the successful candidate will contribute to delivering innovative and cost-effective solutions that meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities:
Design and analyze high-voltage transmission line systems (69kV to 500kV) to ensure reliability, compliance, and efficiency.
Perform line routing, structure design, and foundation analysis, utilizing PLS-CADD and other relevant software.
Support the preparation of detailed engineering documents, including drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
Collaborate with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
Conduct site visits to provide technical support during construction and resolve design-related challenges.
Ensure compliance with applicable industry codes, standards, and best practices, including NESC and IEEE guidelines.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred).
3+ years of experience in high-voltage transmission line engineering, including design and analysis.
Proficiency with engineering software such as PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and AutoCAD.
Strong understanding of NESC standards, utility practices, and permitting processes.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
EIT or PE license preferred, or ability to obtain licensure.
