We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support our team in managing construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of project management principles, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
Candidates MUST be local to DC area as that is where most of the projects are going to be.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Coordination: Assist in planning, executing, and closing construction projects. Collaborate with project managers to ensure that all project phases are completed on time and within budget.
Documentation Management: Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, reports, and correspondence. Ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
Scheduling and Budgeting: Help develop and track project schedules and budgets. Monitor expenditures and assist in preparing budget forecasts.
Quality Control: Assist in ensuring project quality by conducting site inspections, identifying issues, and recommending solutions to maintain compliance with specifications.
Risk Management: Support the identification and mitigation of project risks. Help develop contingency plans to address potential challenges.
Reporting: Prepare regular project status reports for management and stakeholders, highlighting progress, challenges, and milestones.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is a benefit
Knowledge of construction processes and contracts,
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ProCore.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple priorities.
Driver license and vehicle. Working Conditions:
**Primarily onsite Project-based with occasional office visits.
***Required travel to various project locations for extended periods of time.
****Working from access equipment, repetitive lifting, standing, measuring and sounding and marking.
