Financial Planning Associate works with Financial Advisors and Partners to deliver financial security to their clients through a comprehensive planning process that integrates risk and investment products. Associates help financial representatives increase productivity by providing planning and integrated operations support.
The ideal candidate will have an active interest in the financial services industry and desire for professional growth. This role is critical to the success of the firm and requires a high degree of organizational capability, strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Specific responsibilities include but will not be limited to: • Create and refine financial plans and scenarios using our proprietary planning software • Analyzes client information including investment statements and insurance proposals, to be used in preparing recommendations. • Responsible for ensuring that financial plans are developed in alignment with the firm's planning philosophy and best practices • Partner with advisors to identify gaps and opportunities within a prospect's financial plan and prepare insurance illustrations and investment proposals accordingly • Promote, utilize, and reinforce planning culture aligned to the firms planning philosophy and best practices. • Follow up with clients/advisors to gather missing data or clarify inputs • Prepare or collaborate with others to provide all materials for plan and account reviews including updated plans, illustrations, consolidated statements of assets, performance reports, etc. • Prepare observation pages to communicate assumptions/recommendations to Advisors based on the financial plan • Have, or develop, a deep understanding of financial planning and how to apply it to client situations • Assist advisor by providing information to answer client questions. • Solutions may include life, disability, long term care insurance; brokerage; annuity options; and supported advisory programs • Partner with Operations team to ensure client onboarding, account opening and all client service and account management needs are met • Other projects and research as needed
Qualifications
Required • 1-3 years industry experience • Comprehensive knowledge of topics related to financial planning • Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and in a team • Exemplary written and verbal communication skills • Strong critical thinking, financial analysis, and problem solving skills • Strong customer relationship and service skills • Strong analytical, problem solving, and written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work well with others • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines • Strong attention to detail, accuracy and reliability with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Preferred • SIE, Series 6 or Series 7, Series 63 • Life, Accident & Health insurance licenses • Industry designations (CFP, CLU, ChFC, RICP, etc.) • Bachelor's Degree in business, finance, financial planning
