Carolina PRG has partnered with a Charlotte based International Manufacturer to help them identify a BEST IN CLASS Director of FP&A. The Director, Financial Planning & Analysis is a key leadership role responsible for financial planning, reporting and analysis used to identify risks and opportunities across the business. The successful candidate will build strategic partnerships across functional teams that will lead to improved processes and transparency around key operating metrics. This is a key member of the leadership team who will support senior leaders to ensure company financial objectives are met. The position reports to the CFO.
Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:
Manage monthly P&L forecast process, resulting in added visibility and a clear understanding of business trends and overall financial outlook
Oversee and directly guide annual budgeting process
Responsible for management reporting, ensuring desired level of accuracy and timeliness is met
Conduct ad-hoc analyses with the ability to clearly summarize and present findings to executive leadership team members
Identify and implement tools and/or processes to improve forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and other key areas within finance and accounting
Partner with accounting teams during monthly close process to provide analytical support and guidance
Manage and develop finance team, to include coaching, interviewing, hiring and performance management
What We Need From You
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related Business field
10-15 years of experience, with at least 5 years directly managing people and teams
Excellent business partnership skills with a record of collaborating across functions and levels within an international manufacturer to accomplish team goals
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Ability to clearly communicate complex information
MBA or advanced degree is a plus
Clearly understand integrated financial systems and the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint)
Proven analytical and financial skills, demonstrated strong economic thinking
Travel approximately 10%
