JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for working with the key commercial stakeholders including the Business Development team, local sales team and HO management team to accomplish core projects. Provide excellent analytical and communication skills to support sales and our customer base.

Duties & Functions

Essential:
• Market research using various medians including Datamyne and LinkedIn
• Analyze and promote CRM usage to push sales leads to area sales.
• Researching dormant client lists and sharing prospects with local sales team.
• Cold calling, building sales leads, qualifying prospects & scheduling meetings.
• Support quotes & proposals via NNR's quoting tools: Web-Cargo & Cargosphere.
• Helps w/SOP, correct client ID assignment, client is in CRM.
• Help provide timely quotes back to clients and increase sales growth.
• Supports smaller clients in markets that don't have a local salesperson.
• Identify prospective customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in logistics transportation organizations, and attending trade shows and conferences when needed.
• Establishing and Maintaining Interpersonal Relationships - Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintaining them over time.
• Conduct client research and proposals to prepare sales team for upcoming meetings.
• Audit and update client profiles and details in CRM and ERP system.
• Effectively communicates relevant sales and marketing related information.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Education & Experience:
• Minimum 2 years of college or military service, bachelor's degree preferred.
• Previous experience in the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
• Prior work experience or Internship in Sales, Marketing or Business.
• Solid customer service techniques.
• Ability to learn to use CRM software.
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft 0365 software suite.

Physical requirements:
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; frequently required to walk, stand, talk, hear, reach with hands and arms and occasionally required to sit.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
