Stelvio Group is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Project Planner to play a key role in driving the success of multiple customer projects. In this critical position, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, managing priorities, and ensuring the timely delivery of key project milestones.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with our clients' Project Management Office (PMO), Engineering teams, and other essential stakeholders to deliver accurate project reporting and support financial analysis that contributes to overall project success.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Scheduling:
Develop, maintain, and update project schedules on the Project Server, ensuring tasks are assigned within 90 days of project initiation.
Proactively manage and prioritize tasks, advising management on the need to reset baselines when significant changes occur.
Task Code Management:
Create and communicate task codes in real-time, ensuring the project team has the most up-to-date information to remain aligned.
Reporting & Monitoring:
Generate and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly project reports to keep stakeholders informed of progress, metrics, and potential risks.
Provide accurate and timely updates on project milestones, status, and any issues to management.
Variance Analysis:
Assist PMO and Engineering teams in conducting variance analysis, identifying discrepancies between planned and actual hours, costs, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Provide transparent insights to stakeholders on project status, including any deviations from the original plan.
Financial Collaboration:
Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate monthly invoicing, aligning with financial milestones.
Support PMO in evaluating project Profit & Loss (P&L) and cash flow (CF), ensuring financial health is maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
Change Order Evaluation:
Collaborate with PMO and project teams to assess change orders, ensuring all changes are accurately reflected in schedules, P&L, and CF analyses.
Stakeholder Communication:
Serve as the central point of contact for project updates, delivering consistent communication to all levels of management.
Proactively address concerns, offer solutions, and facilitate smooth communication across project teams and stakeholders.
Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience in project scheduling within a complex, multi-project environment.
Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
Expertise in project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, or similar) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Analytical skills in assessing and reporting variances between planned and actual performance.
Familiarity with financial processes including P&L, cash flow, and invoicing.
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization.
Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and meeting deadlines.
Proactive problem-solving skills with the ability to recommend practical solutions.
Education & Certification:
Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
PMP certification is a plus, but not required.
