Contract: W2, 5 weeks
Location: 55 Water Street, New York, NY (Onsite)
Pay Range: $40-48/hour based on DOE
Brief Summary:
Join a dynamic team supporting the Accessories Design Team during the holiday season. This role focuses on creating innovative and brand-right designs while collaborating with cross-functional partners to ensure successful product delivery.
Responsibilities:
Design accessories that align with the brand's conceptual direction and business strategy.
Develop functional, stylish products with precise material execution.
Create and adapt design sketches, prototypes, and specifications based on feedback.
Present designs confidently to internal and cross-functional teams.
Conduct competitor research and trend analysis to innovate new ideas.
Collaborate with merchandising and product development teams for seamless execution.
Lead and inspire junior design talent, ensuring on-time, high-quality deliverables.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Design or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience in a retail environment, specifically with accessories.
Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
Demonstrated ability to create original design sketches and successful product lines.
Strong collaboration, communication, and presentation skills.
Experience with Centric and TD-specific tools is a plus.
Must be a proactive team player with excellent problem-solving skills.
