OVERVIEW
PracticeSuite is currently looking for a Legal Manager to join our team. The primary responsibilities for this role will be to manage a large volume of contracts through review, negotiation and execution, with a focus on SaaS subscription and professional services sales contracts.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES • The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment managing multiple transactions at the same time, utilizing effective communication, negotiation and analytical skills to work complex issues and drive business-oriented solutions • Design, develop, and implement processes to streamline the handling of contracts from initiation to execution and renewal, while providing a high quality experience for clients. • Developing and implementing processes to store existing and new contracts, establish security protections to ensure confidentiality of sensitive contracts, to establish means of searching and retrieving stored contracts, and to manage the process for renewal of expiring contracts. • This role will work with departments across the organization to identify and gather contracts for entry into our system, with the objective of storing all customer contracts in the system. • Serve as custodian of all executed contracts, and other legal documents. • Draft agreements and other legal documents (e.g., Non-Disclosure Agreements, Consent Letters, Consulting Agreements). • Provide guidance regarding risks and opportunities based on particular transaction and customer profiles to guide business teams • Analyze existing agreements to determine what legal modifications need to be made. • Assist in building and improving internal approval and workflow processes • As needed, facilitating the contract review/negotiation process for the company's contracts, and reviewing varying forms of legal documents (including new contracts, amendments, statements of work, renewals, etc.), in order to complete the following tasks: Appropriately identifying and including the necessary contractual language within the company's contracts in accordance with policy, process and regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS • Juris Doctor in Legal or 3+ years of Paralegal experience • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills (oral, written & presentations) demonstrating the ability to effectively summarize critical information into clear, concise, and insightful updates for leadership • Eager to take on challenges and learn new skills and areas of law and business • Ability to work with limited oversight and manage time and relationships • Comfortable navigating complicated and nuanced legal issues • Eagerness to help and to find creative ways to solve problems for business teams is a must
