Essential duties/responsibilities:
Develop and improve manufacturing processes by studying product and manufacturing methods, develop innovative processes and solutions to manufacturing challenges in support of Precision Inc.'s strategic initiatives
Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research; applies knowledge or product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators
Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors
Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing-finished product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes
Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout
Provide technical assistance to manufacturing process of new and existing products
Provide manufacturing engineering information by answering questions and requests
Complete design and development projects by training and guiding technicians
Lead and support continuous improvement activities and assist with cost reduction projects
Establish and maintain plant layouts
Assist Industrial Engineers with establishing and maintaining production limits at each facility
Provide support and resources to office and production floor employees
Create and maintain visual work instructions
Create and maintain preventive maintenance work instructions for machines
Recommend, specify, approve, and buying of services, equipment, parts, and outsourcing
Lead and/or participate in workshop activities
Support development and launch of new product to ensure a successful transition into production
