Provide virtual meeting and event support to internal stakeholders hosting departmental, executive-level meetings and other corporate events. The Technician will facilitate meeting organization, invitation functionality, agenda management, rehearsal and technical run-through, day of event technical support and moderation, and closing out event deliverables. This position requires a passion for customer service and hospitality, as well as a strong PC proficiency with tools like MS Teams, Cisco Webex, and Zoom.
Duties & Responsibilities
Provide personalized assistance, resolving stakeholder needs for meetings and events; provide fast and accurate responses to requests, ensuring high standards of customer service
Suggest solutions to achieve meeting and audience goals
Set-up, operate and troubleshoot systems like MS Teams, Cisco Webex, Zoom, OBS, and similar
Ability to provide direct and concise guidance during a live production environment, minimizing interruptions for attendees
Troubleshoot presenter and attendee issues, offering technical guidance and options for solutions
Provide pre-event consulting and checklists to ensure communication for day of show
Meet with and proactively generate relationships with stakeholders, producers, engineering team
Work in tandem with various teams to ensure client event objectives are met
May be required to provide other services in times of high activity
Perform other duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications
Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of systems, tools, work routines and procedures related to meetings, events, hybrid events, and remote productions
Ability to communicate and work effectively with senior executives in a corporate environment
Outstanding customer service orientation including professional presence and superior client relationship skills
Familiarity with audio consoles, power amplifiers, digital signal processors, video matrix switchers, video scalers, PC interfaces and digital video recorders, streaming tools
Ability to tune and tweak audio systems
Ability to flex with show complexity and venue capabilities
Proficient IT knowledge with computer networks (LANs, net connections and IP)
Proficiency with MS Teams and ability to learn proprietary software and systems
Ability to maintain redundant PC systems from a remote work environment, install required security patches, and troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues under pressure
Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Video/Film Production, Music or Audio, Communications or related field is preferred
3+ years' experience in conference services, hospitality, or corporate communications
3+ years' experience supporting virtual and hybrid meetings and events
Hands-on experience supporting large scale meetings and events in an on-site venue
