The Manager, Supply & Operations Planning will manage the flow of Global In-Bound stock into the US Warehouse. This person will be responsible for continuously supplying finished goods from UK & Thailand warehouses to meet customer service and inventory level goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Drive supply planning execution to maintain and improve customer and supplier service levels while maintaining optimized inventory levels
Manage Inbound logistics (import, logistics management) and support the development of new supply routes as required
Contribute to total customer satisfaction by providing high-quality and timely service to all internal and external customers
Create, confirm, and track Purchase Orders associated with Global Brands products (including finished goods & components)
Work closely with the Global Supply Chain Planning team to understand when order commitments need to be expedited, deferred, or changed, and ensure such changes are implemented promptly, escalating any high-priority changes to Sourcing teams
Manage the relationship with 3rd Party Logistics company to handle logistics / FDA Release / CBP release on imports
Focus on process improvement to drive efficiency and sustainability
Manage vendor relations for purchased products where applicable
Inventory management - Overall inventory management along with execution activities & reporting for Excess & Obsolete
Address -with a sense of urgency- any supply issues, additional costs, and preventative actions to vendors in the event of late deliveries and/or short shipments
Partner with Global supply team members located in the USA, UK, and Asia.
Key Performance Metrics: Customer Unit Fill Rate, Inventory Value and Days of Supply, Slow Moving and Obsolete Inventory, Supplier Performance
A bit about you...
4+ years' experience in Supply Chain Management or Logistics
Highly numerate with excellent Excel skills, strong analytical skills as well as a commercial outlook
High degree of Analytical and Forecasting experience working both autonomously and within a cross-functional, matrixed environment with stakeholder management
Knowledge of Supply planning systems
Experience working with imported products (FDA / CBP / C-TPAT preferably)
Experience/understanding of SAP, backend transactions and implications
Excellent spoken & written communication skills
Strong problem solving & numeracy skills
Ability to interpret large amounts of data
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to take a proactive attitude and work under pressure to tight deadlines
Supply Chain/Operations/Finance degree preferred
Working experience with SAP and E2Open preferred
