Our client, a luxury brand, is hiring a temporary Department Manager to join the team at their Miami location. This is a temporary role that will start early November and continue for three months with the potential to extend based on performance and the needs of the business. Candidates must be able to work a full-time retail schedule including weekends and holidays as needed. Candidates must have previous luxury retail leadership or management experience in the Miami market.
Job Duties Include:
Achieve sales goals
Lead sales team to provide high quality customer service
Develop events and incentives to grow customer base
Assist sales associates with various customer service issues
Ensure positive mystery shopper results
Partner with logistics and product team to insure appropriate assortment
Provide monthly business reports as needed
Coordinate follow-up and paperwork in an accurate and timely fashion
Meet inventory accuracy and shrink requirements
Collaborate with Visual Manager to lead all aspects of the department merchandising standards
Review sales and take action to correct deficiencies and improve positive sales
Develop staff through goal setting and regular meetings
Recruit candidates for all levels within the department
Supervise personnel and implement company policies
Identify individual and team training needs
Additional duties as needed and assigned
Job Qualifications Include:
Degree from a Business School, University, or equivalent experience
6+ years of experience in a retail setting with emphasis on operations, store management or office administration
Previous tenure in a luxury retail setting required
Previous luxury retail leadership or management experience in the Miami market required
Ability to learn and use various software packages
Candidates with client books strongly preferred
Passion for luxury product with an appreciation for design
Proficiency in meditating and resolving issues or concerns that may arise
Strong oral and written communication skills
Customer service oriented
Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs which includes, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Ability to speak foreign languages is a plus
Salary: $125k annually
