Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Outpatient Biller to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical billing processes, including experience with insurance claims, coding, and patient billing. This role is perfect for someone looking to work in a dynamic healthcare environment with flexibility in scheduling. The outpatient biller will assist in ensuring accurate and timely submission of claims, as well as follow up on outstanding payments.

Wage: $17.00-$23.00 DOE

Key Responsibilities:


  • Review and process outpatient billing for various healthcare services.

  • Submit insurance claims to payers (private, government, etc.) and follow up on claims to ensure timely reimbursement.

  • Ensure proper coding for all services provided, utilizing ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes.

  • Communicate with patients regarding billing questions, insurance issues, and payment arrangements.

  • Resolve denied or rejected claims and ensure timely resubmission with necessary corrections.

  • Track and report on the status of outstanding claims and accounts.

  • Work with insurance companies to verify patient coverage and resolve discrepancies.

  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.

  • Assist with month-end billing reconciliation and other administrative tasks as assigned.

  • Complete adjustments and write off's as needed.
