Advises customers and prospects on new business. Services existing policies and fulfills customer requests for policy reviews and updates. Resolves complex billing issues and answers general policy questions. Conducts policy reviews, including identifying cross-sale opportunities for existing customers, when applicable.
Responsibilities
Sales: Takes calls from prospective customers; quotes and issues new auto and homeowner insurance policies. Counsels prospective customers and performs needs analyses to recommend the appropriate coverages. Responds to and follows up with underwriting requests to complete sales applications in a timely manner.
Customer Service: Services existing customers for general maintenance of all insurance policies including but not limited to: risk assessment, loss analysis, coverage review, and endorsement analysis. Answers product and service questions; suggests features and benefits about other products and services. Resolves complex billing situations.
Database Administration: Enters transactions, data or other information utilizing multiple computer systems. Completes all necessary paperwork and documentation (i.e. customer comments, and follow-up action required) in order to ensure customer accounts correctly reflect the activity that was performed.
Troubleshooting: Clarifies customer complaints; determines the cause of the problem; selects and explains the best solution to solve the problem and expedites corrections or adjustments; follows-up to ensure resolution.
Mentor/Coach: Assists in the development of others; assists management with training; acts as a resource on subject matter, training and mentoring other team members.
Other duties as required: Job may require fulfilling other incidental or related duties as assigned, assisting and training others, and performing duties of higher rated positions from time to time for developmental purposes.
General Requirements
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Must have at least one year's experience in business related field. Previous sales experience preferred, but not required.
Must have excellent verbal communication skills to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with work groups and potential customers.
Must be able to obtain and maintain sales licensing in the following states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Oregon, & Wyoming
Work Availability Requirements
Hours scheduled will fall within this department's operational hours 7:00 - 8:00pm MT Monday thru Friday, with rotating Saturday shifts 9:00 - 4:00pm MT.
The pay range for this position is $22.92 - $33.41 per hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Additional performance-based incentives may apply above and beyond base compensation.
