About the Role
WeTheHobby is seeking a Senior Manager, eCommerce Channel Strategy to help scale our new and existing broadcast eCommerce platforms. In this position you will help define the strategic vision for how we generate profitable revenue on our specific eCommerce platforms and work cross-functionally with operations, marketing and talent management to produce high quality show programming. You will lead the daily execution of our objectives and push towards revenue targets while ensuring every member of your eCommerce platform team understands their individual responsibilities. You will be a key mouthpiece to senior leadership, ensuring that our strategy evolves around consumer sentiment and pricing dynamics in the ever-changing collectibles industry.
Core Responsibilities
Define our Strategy
Map the market for the eCommerce platform, dive into data, and talk to on-air personalities and buyers to build a perspective on how we need to adapt and scale.
Define our action plan for addressing key challenges and opportunities across the eCommerce platform.
Identify competitor trends and how we can improve and make them our own.
Lead our Execution
Manage a team of On-Air Personalities in sales to onboard and grow sellers, activate influencers, and run eCommerce platform-specific events.
Develop and mentor your team members to take ownership of their key initiatives and companywide priorities. Handle day-to-day needs, scheduling, payroll, and other performance-related matters.
Execute and manage the highest priority partnerships with platform representatives.
Own our data to define and monitor key performance metrics for the company and more widely across the category against competitors. Utilize those insights to prioritize key focus areas for your team.
Drive Outsized Growth
Identify eCommerce platform unlocks and work cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and procurement to bring to life solutions and initiatives that will step-change platform growth.
Work alongside executives to propose and execute tests that can give the insight we need to adapt to the evolving needs of the eCommerce platform and company.
Be The Voice of Your Platform
Be an advocate of our mission as you build relationships with platform representatives, prospective sellers, and buyers, seeking to understand their perspectives and ensuring that our product meets their needs and expectations.
Carry our culture by guiding your team to deeply understand the core components of the business and product so they can best service buyers and grow our community.
Our Ideal Candidate
You have a passion for our mission, you live and breathe the needs of our communities and work relentlessly to improve their experience.
7+ years of experience working in a fast-paced, client-facing role in high-output environments, such as Strategy Consulting, Private Equity, Talent Management, or Partnerships at a fast-paced tech company.
You operate as a player/coach and will get in the weeds to produce results in a highly ambiguous environment.
You are scrappy and no job is too small.
You are a world-class leader with experience managing and developing a team.
You are deeply analytical and comfortable understanding and manipulating data to gain and take action on business insights.
Experience with two-sided eCommerce platforms and marketplace dynamics.
Passion for creator communities and live eCommerce.
Experience and understanding of the collectibles eCommerce landscape and its major players is a strong plus.
