Texas Standard is a Texas-centric men's apparel brand dedicated to creating high-quality clothing and accessories that embody the spirit of Texas. As we expand, we are looking for a Retail Manager to strategically expand in-person sales, including the opening and management of a new store location.
Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Retail Manager with a strong background in sales and store management. This role will report directly to the President and Vice President, overseeing the day-to-day operations of our new retail location and off-site sales events. The ideal candidate will have a passion for men's apparel and consumer products, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of retail operations. This position assumes normal business hours, with ability to work nights and weekends as necessary. Must be in Austin, TX.
Key Responsibilities:
Store Operations: Oversee daily store operations and ensure a high standard of customer service.
Store Opening Preparation: Develop and implement store policies and procedures to ensure a successful opening and continued success.
Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, and stock organization.
Merchandising: Create visually appealing merchandise displays that align with brand standards, while analyzing sales trends to optimize product placement and inventory.
Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and supervise store employees, fostering a positive work environment.
Management Team Feedback: Work with the management team to influence product and marketing by documenting and communicating trends and feedback from in-store customers.
Off-site Events: Coordinate participation in off-site markets and events to promote the brand, including managing logistics for off-site sales, including inventory and staff coordination.
Qualifications:
Previous experience (5+ years) in retail management, preferably for a men's and/or apparel brand.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge of merchandising and inventory management best practices.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
