This rapidly expanding telecom construction company is seeking a VP of Sales to build the structure and growth strategy for their sales department from the ground up. This is a hands-on, high-impact role; this new VP will contribute heavily as an individual (especially in the beginning), breaking into the wireless market (and ideally, electrical grid) by leveraging their contacts and network to fill the sales pipeline. After successfully driving new revenue through your own lead generation, this driven leader will build a sales team and continue establishing a presence in these new market.
What You'll Do:
Drive New Business: Establish a robust sales pipeline utilizing your own network and book of business to source new clients and close deals in emerging sectors
Build a Sales Function: Develop the sales department's structure, playbook, and processes
Foster a Winning Sales Culture: Cultivate a team of top performers and lead by example, bringing in new business while coaching a future sales force
Market Expansion: Create and execute strategies to break into new industry sectors (wireless and electrical grid)
Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with Operations, Account Management, and leadership team to align sales goals with organizational goals
What You'll Need:
Hands-on sales leader with a strong understanding of Marketing in this space
An established book of business/network contacts in the Fiber, Wireless, and/or Electrical Grid infrastructure or construction space
Technical knowledge of fiber and wireless
Experience selling to carriers
Ability to scale processes up/down based on deal sizes
Experience selling accounts from SMB to enterprise
Broken into a new market/sector
Plus Skills:
Have built a pipeline, sales function, and/or playbook from scratch
Experience selling to utilities
Electrical grid experience
Understanding of capital markets
