PART TWO: DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
This is a list of the specific duties and responsibilities for the role of Shop Manager. The list is not all-inclusive and is intended to assist in the hiring process and as a foundation for a job description with clear and specific responsibilities. This position will work closely alongside the Internal Operations Manager to lead and manage the following functions to support the company's craft labor force:
Shop operations
Warehouse Receiving
Yard layout and job staging
Tools
Equipment and Fleet maintenance
Ensure a daily huddle is conducted for all teams under their direction.
Attend the weekly Internal Operations Meeting
Serve as the leader of the shop, providing coaching and mentoring as needed on an individual basis.
Establish sound accountability processes, including clear and specific means of consistent follow-through.
Assist with the hiring process for new team members and make staffing and assignment recommendations
Collaborate with the Internal Operations Manager to assist in the development of processes for shop operations, ensuring accountability and consistent follow-through.
Create a motivating environment so that team members are involved in issue-solving, decision-making, planning, and implementation, resulting in a low turnover rate.

REQUIRED:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position with supervisory authority and evidence of having been a coach/mentor to team members.
PREFERRED:
Experience in electrical construction, including hands-on field experience.
Experience in the electrical supply chain.
Experience in fleet management.
Experience with prefab.
DESIRED:
Experience working for an IBEW contractor
PAY RANGE:
$34.49-37.93
We are signatory to IBEW Local 48 and the position will be a union position as Support Tech 1/Foreman. Please refer to their wage and benefits package listed on the IBEW 48 website.
