Job Description:

The Choice is thrilled to partner with a nonprofit dedicated to providing girls with safe, quality education worldwide. This direct-hire position, reporting to the Chief Development Officer, will lead strategy and execution to develop, expand, and maintain corporate and foundation partnerships. The Director of Corporate and Foundation Giving will also oversee the corporate and foundation team, managing prospecting, cultivation, and stewardship to ensure sustainable, high-impact partnerships and substantial gifts at the seven-figure level and above.

This is a flexible hybrid position based in Washington, DC. The team works together in the DC office once a week, on Thursdays, with flexibility for remote work on other days.

Qualifications:
  • Enthusiasm for girls' access to education and advocacy is key.
  • 8-10 years in fundraising, including developing high-level partnerships, managing a big corporate portfolio and in a leadership role.
  • Must have managed corporate relationships, developed proposals, and engaged in foundation work.
  • Ready to be an inspiring, positive leader for a highly-motivated, enthusiastic, and developing team

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set revenue goals and lead a comprehensive corporate and foundation giving strategy aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Develop initiatives such as sponsorship opportunities, cause-marketing campaigns, and corporate benefits packages.
  • Lead pitches and fundraising discussions for major partnerships and significant financial gifts.
  • Foster relationships with existing partners and create strategies to attract new supporters.
  • Assess market trends and manage data analysis to guide partnership efforts.
  • Mentor an 8 person team, providing guidance and support for corporate and foundation initiatives.
  • Support staff in setting and achieving annual goals, offering solutions to challenges as needed.
  • Promote a diverse, equitable workplace, and establish systems to support team development and growth.
  • Collaborate with leadership on new funding opportunities and board engagement strategies.
  • Represent the team in strategic partnerships across departments, ensuring a cohesive approach to donor relationships.
  • Stay informed on trends in funding and philanthropy. Represent the organization at conferences and meetings.
