Position Overview:

As the National Dealer Development Manager, you will be responsible for growing and strengthening our dealer network in the U.S. This role is critical in ensuring that Yacht Controller is represented by capable and knowledgeable dealers nationwide. You will develop and implement strategies to expand our dealer base, nurture existing relationships, and drive sales growth through dealer success. This position involves travel to meet with potential and existing dealers, conduct training, attend events including boat shows, and ensure brand standards are upheld.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Dealer Network Expansion: Identify, recruit, and onboard new dealers in strategic markets to expand the Yacht Controller network across the U.S. and Canada
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with current dealers, providing support, training, and guidance to optimize their performance and sales.
  • Sales Strategy Execution: Work closely with the sales team to create and implement a dealer-focused sales strategy that aligns with Yacht Controller's goals.
  • Dealer Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze dealer performance metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement and ensuring sales targets are met.
  • Training and Development: Provide dealers with product knowledge and technical training to ensure a high level of expertise and customer service.
  • Marketing Support: Collaborate with the marketing team to create and execute dealer-specific promotional campaigns that drive product awareness and sales.
  • Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and market demands to continuously enhance the dealer program and provide strategic insights.

Qualifications:
  • Experience: 5+ years in dealer management, sales, or business development within the marine industry.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Skills: Strong sales and negotiation skills, with the ability to foster lasting relationships; excellent communication and presentation abilities; strategic mindset with a focus on growth and scalability.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with marine electronics or yacht systems and overall boating.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel nationally as required.
