Job Description:

Our client is a Commercial General Contractor who is looking for a Construction Business Developer to direct those efforts for the firm's Charlotte office.

The company has a history of successful project in both the public and private sector.

Local Charlotte, NC market knowledge and contacts are required.

Key Responsibilities:
• Identify and establish contact with prospective new clients by leveraging personal and professional networks;
• Guide prospective clients through the sales cycle, including nurturing the relationship, broadening contacts, and developing an insider's understanding of their needs and decision making process;
• Get to know the Companies existing clients and, while collaborating with existing Project Managers, become a key front-line contact and face of the firm for them;
• By making yourself essential to existing clients, enhance retention and expand service opportunities;
• Serve as an active representative of the Company in the Charlotte community and the regional construction industry through attendance at and participation in key conferences and other events, including board service;
• Identify high-ROI industry and community marketing opportunities for the Company and collaborate with Marketing to take advantage of such opportunities;
• Ownership of the firm's new business pipeline, reflecting both short- and long-term opportunities with prospective and existing clients;
• Serve as an active, thoughtful, and strategic member of the Executive Management team. Someone Company leaders are eager to collaborate with.
