Summary of the Position:

The Zone Manager, One Nutramax Zone is responsible for managing the One Nutramax Zone, a strategic area surrounding Nutrmax's corporate headquarters. In addition to achieving sales objective within the assigned area, the Zone Manger will support a highly cross functional team testing programs, selling strategies, and product concepts prior to nationwide deployments. The One Nutramax Zone will act as a training and development area, designed to cultivate a customer-centric culture throughout the employee onboarding and continuing education processes. The Zone Manager will additionally oversee all aspects of Nutramax's Inside Sales Team including strategy deployment, technology implementation, and the development of standard work.

This is a highly visible role designed for a high-potential individual seeking to advance into a sales or marketing leadership position. This position will report directly to the Director of Sales and work closely with the Commercial Vice President. The ideal candidate will possess experience in sales management preferably within veterinary or human health sciences industries. The successful candidate will be a self-motivate individual who is comfortable managing ambiguity and has an analytical, process driven mindset.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for achieving revenue, growth, and market share objectives with the assigned area.
  • Support the development of District and Regional Sales Managers.
  • Oversee the development of Nutramax's Inside Sales team including strategy execution, technology implementation, and the creation of standard work.
  • Work closely with marketing and sales operations to set lead quotas and convert marketing qualified leads (MQL) to sales qualified leads (SQL) leveraging Inside Sales.
  • Support the development of sales force optimization (SFO) and sales force effectiveness (SFE) initiatives.
  • Represent the voice of sales supporting Product Management in the commercialization of new products.
  • Assist in the development of targeted projects that can be quickly tested in the One Nutramax Zone and rolled out nationally.
  • Support corporate affairs with community engagement events and activities.
  • Conduct voice of customer and competitive analysis research and reports.
  • Support training in the development and execution of employee onboarding and continuous education using the Zone as a training and development area.
  • Help oversee three high priority veterinary schools supporting the Student and Schools Manager in program development and execution.
  • Perform other assigned duties as may be required in meeting company objectives. These duties may include supporting initiatives other business units (i.e. health care practitioner and pet retail).
  • Communicate effectively with other departments within the organization and function within a team environment.

Minimum Requirements:
  • A minimum of 7+ years of sales experience within veterinary or human health industries.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail.
  • Skilled in analysis and process improvement.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Ability to work independently and contribute to a team environment.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office Suite (with emphasis on MS Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Position is based out of the Nutramax SC Headquarters (located in Lancaster, SC) so must live within reasonable driving distance of this location. Must be willing to travel (approximately 25% of the time).
