Leap29 are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Energy Storage Project Developer to join one of our clients in the Pacific Northwest. The ideal candidate will have a passion for clean energy solutions and a proven track record in developing and managing energy storage projects.
Ideal candidate location: Pacific Northwest. neighbouring states may be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development of energy storage projects from inception to completion.
Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for potential projects.
Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) teams to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
Manage relationships with stakeholders, including utilities, regulators, and community groups.
Prepare and submit permit applications and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Develop financial models and analyze project economics to support investment decisions.
Oversee the commissioning and performance testing of energy storage systems.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in energy project development, with at least 2 years focused on energy storage.
Strong understanding of energy storage technologies, market dynamics, and regulatory frameworks.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results on time and within budget.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in project management software and financial modeling tools.
Ability to travel as needed to project sites and stakeholder meetings.
