Job Summary
Hammitt is seeking an experienced and dedicated Key holder/ASM to support the store manager and team at our Manhattan Beach retail store. We are looking for a go-getter with proven experience surpassing sales goals in the ever-changing retail environment. The key objective of this position is to develop and maintain a store and workplace atmosphere that is inclusive and welcoming for all. At the same time, have store sales goals achieved while building and supporting an incredible store team. At Hammitt, we want everyone to feel warm and comfortable, like a guest at your home.
Your Role & Responsibilities • Demonstrate exceptional team leadership by training/developing outstanding employees • Support the store manager with day-to-day operations • Host parties and events at the store with local influencers, charities, and store activations • Work with the marketing calendar to promote special edition bags, drops, and any gift with purchases and communicate and pre-sell to customers. • Make sure your team is knowledgeable of the marketing calendar in relation to product drops, collaborations, events, and more • Develop and retain excellent product knowledge of our core year-round best-selling collection and our four seasonal collections • Streamline processes and identify hiring and training needs • Assist in maintaining and managing inventory to ensure products are in stock • Increase store traffic and optimize profitability • Provide and maintain outstanding visual merchandising displays that capture customer attention and drive sales • Form lasting relationships with new customers and maintain current customer loyalty • Work hand in hand with team leads to develop strategic and measurable goals that are met on a weekly/monthly/yearly basis • Treat all customers like friends or family, welcoming them into your home. (Offer them a beverage, anything to make them feel comfortable before you ever speak about Hammitt).
Skills, Abilities, Requirements • Minimum 2+ years retail experience as a key holder or Sales Manager • Associate degree (preferred) • Confident and clear communicator, both in writing and speaking • Excellent listener who can accurately understand and respond to the needs of others • Positive attitude, ability to move fast, multi-task, be bold, and thrive in a dynamic environment • Innovative thinker with a flair for problem-solving and an abundance of creativity • Familiarity with Shopify and NetSuite are a plus
