Job Title: Technical Sales Representative
Summary of Position: The Technical Sales Representative is responsible for creating and maintaining productive and meaningful relationships with construction companies and general contractors. This role focuses on generating sustainable growth in the assigned territory by driving demand at the contractor level.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Customer Relation Development:
Identify and assess new business opportunities within the territory to increase sales.
Develop and maintain relationships targeting decision makers.
Regularly update CRM customer information.
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market feedback within the CRM.
Address and resolve customer complaints or issues promptly and professionally.
Attend trade shows as required.
Assist with business development opportunities and work closely with Business Development in acquiring new distributor leads.
Product Knowledge:
Become an expert with all company products.
Effectively present and demonstrate products to contractors in the field.
Allocate time for self-improvement by familiarizing with products, practicing/updating product presentations, and attending local conferences to stay on top of industry trends.
Team Commitment:
Record all travel plans in the CRM.
Work closely with the region's Distributor Sales Representative to coordinate efforts.
Provide regular weekly reports to management to aid in tracking progress and making data-driven decisions.
Meet or exceed sales targets and objectives set by the company.
Assist the Marketing department in new campaigns.
Assist Revenue team members with introductions to key influencers and/or decision makers.
Stay up to date on current market conditions such as trends, pricing, and competition.
Work closely with Customer Service to aid in client inquiries, pricing adjustments, and finalizing sales.
Complete any projects given by Regional Manager or VP of Sales.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:

Educational:
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Technical:
At least 4 years of customer service experience.
At least 3 years of sales experience.
Construction experience is a plus but not required.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers.
Ability to effectively present information to customers and management.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions.
Basic proficiency with MS Office suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
Experience working with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
