American Insulated Panel (AIP) is a premier manufacturer and installer of insulated metal panels for cold storage applications. With a long history of quality and customer satisfaction, AIP is a trusted partner for businesses with walk-in coolers and freezers throughout the Northeast . We are seeking an experienced and driven Business Development Director to spearhead growth through strategic relationship-building and market expansion while developing sales strategies.

Position Overview:

Business Development Director will develop and execute strategies to cultivate new and strengthen existing relationships within the cold storage industry. This role involves proactively identifying and nurturing new business opportunities, engaging key stakeholders, and promoting AIP's products and services. The role will be supported by AIP's existing Sales representatives. Additionally, the role will refine AIP's internal sales process. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in business development and sales and a proven track record in driving sales growth, with the ability to think strategically and execute direct customer outreach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Refine internal sales processes, including quoting, tracking, and follow-up procedures.Implement digital sales tools - CRM and outreach campaign
  • Identify and engage key stakeholders in the cold storage industry, including design/engineering firms, contractors, and end users.
  • Build and maintain a network of industry contacts to drive business opportunities.
  • Represent AIP at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to enhance visibility and expand professional connections.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential business opportunities, industry trends, and specific project leads.
  • Develop and implement market penetration strategies to expand AIP's customer base.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create targeted campaigns and promotional materials.
  • Drive sales growth by leveraging industry connections and collaborating with sales and operations teams.
  • Strengthen existing customer relationships to generate additional business.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and performance metrics.
  • Generate and deliver presentations to industry stakeholders.
  • Provide regular reports on business development and sales activities and progress to senior management.
  • Travel regularly within the designated region (primarily from Maine to New Jersey) for client meetings and industry events.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in sales or business development, with a strong track record in relationship management.
  • Familiarity with the cold storage or construction industry is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with CRM, Quoting, or ERP software is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently, and thrive in a team environment.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the designated region.
