Job Description:

Position Overview:

The Pod Development Manager is responsible for the development of all Pod Managers/Team

Leads and the associated Account Management team members that fall within their functional

area. This includes acting as an interface between Managers and all departments at the

Corporate Office. The Pod Development Manager drives the success of their Account

Management Pods towards the company's sales and operational goals.

Primary Responsibilities:

? Lead and mentor a team of Pod Managers, providing guidance, training, and support to

drive performance and foster a high-performance business development culture.

? Oversee all Account Management team functions with a dual focus on people

development and business development.

? Develop and implement strategic sales plans to exceed revenue targets and gain deeper

market share with current customers.

? Participate in driving and improving the RFP process.

? Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate operational

performance, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven decisions.

? Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, prospects, and industry

partners to identify business opportunities.

? Work to optimize business development processes and workflow to increase productivity

and customer satisfaction by implementing best practices and strategies.

? Provide forecasting reports of new business opportunities by collaborating with each

account manager.

? Work in harmony with all corporate executives in providing problem solving and growth

planning designed to increase the value of the entire organization.

? Partner with the Sales Team to efficiently onboard new accounts to your teams.

? Assist managers for employee review or disciplinary action meetings when necessary.

? Hold consistent team meetings and engage team members on a consistent basis.

? Ensure TMS profile data integrity for all account managers.

? Responsibilities may change over time to accommodate business needs.

Experience and Education Requirements:

? High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience required.

? Bachelor's Degree in supply chain management or related business fields preferred but not required

? Freight brokerage, warehouse logistics, or asset trucking experience required.

? 5+ years experience in logistics/supply chain with focus on business development.

? Experience with and/or ability to learn a variety of TMS/CRM platforms.

? Proficient in using CRM software, Google Drive and Microsoft Office Suite.

Physical Requirements:

? Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust

focus, with or without corrective lenses.

? Significant walking or other means of mobility.

? Ability to work in a seated position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).

? Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and

? occasionally lift/move 40 pounds.

? Generally in an indoor office setting; may include occasional participation in outdoor

company events.

? While performing duties of this job, the employee is primarily in a controlled, temperate

environment; however, may be exposed to heat/cold during support of outside activities.

? The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.

Hours

? Normally Monday through Friday 8:00am-5:00pm.

? Additional involvement at night, on weekends and Holidays will be minimal but required

as business needs dictate.

? Up to 20% travel will be required in collaboration with account management or sales on

customer visits.
