Tacoma Youth For Christ (TYFC) has announced a search for a Development Director to help usher in the ministry's next era of fundraising. TYFC brings the life-changing love of Jesus Christ to underserved youth in Pierce County in Washington state.
TYFC meets a critical need: approximately 100,000 youth live in Pierce County, 30% of county residents are in low-income communities, and 25% belong to a racial or ethnic minority. Youth who fall into these groups have historically been underserved, as only about 30% of youth programs and 20% of churches nationwide have programs dedicated to supporting them. Meanwhile, young people are leaving the church in droves.
TYFC's mission is to bring God's story into the lives of these young people and serve them in tangible ways, whether on campus, in detention centers, at camp, or alongside teen parents.
The Development Director reports directly to the Executive Director and will drive fundraising efforts, stabilize donor engagement, and establish a solid development strategy. They will also own the majority of major donor relationships. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable developing and implementing fundraising strategies as they are sharing the work of TYFC firsthand with donors and inviting significant gifts.
This past year, TYFC saw new Executive Director leadership and intermittently filled the Development Director role. This is a great opportunity for growth that the team is excited for you to fill. Together you will reignite the donor base and drive the mission of TYFC forward.
