Oversee commercial real estate senior debt loans within the portfolio, including engaging with borrowers or agents to obtain regular updates on leasing activity and business plans.
Proactively manage risks associated with individual loan positions, monitoring collateral performance, asset integrity, compliance with transaction terms, and applying performance thresholds to trigger full loan re-underwrites.
Conduct quarterly underwriting, market analysis, and risk assessments for managed loans, reviewing assumptions with CRE Management.
Review borrower requests for advances, releases, extensions, and escalate relevant requests to CRE Management for approval.
Address co-lender issues as needed, acting as agent for the syndicate.
Coordinate loan restructuring efforts for non-performing loans in collaboration with the deal team and co-lenders, when required.
Evaluate requests for amendments to loan documentation, prepare recommendations for CRE Management, and seek Credit approvals as necessary.
Provide weekly updates to CRE Lending Management on loan performance, restructures, and key risks, while coordinating information sharing with Credit Risk teams.
Prepare and review loan-level data for periodic regulatory filings.
Train junior asset managers on underwriting standards and real estate risk assessment.
