Job Description:

Claims Manager

TalentoHC has partnered with an industry leading food distribution organization that is elevating its risk function to respond to its double-digit growth to $5Bn and beyond. The Claims Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of the organizations claims process. This role involves developing strategic guidelines, ensuring efficient claim handling, and serving as the primary point of contact for vendors, fostering trust and resolving complex issues.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the entire claims lifecycle, from initial reporting to final resolution.
  • Track key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of our claims management strategies.
  • Optimize internal procedures to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Lead team of 1 direct report and external vendors indirectly to ensure efficiency
  • Monitor the performance of our third-party administrator and ensure they are meeting our standards.
  • Be readily available to assist with claims-related tasks at various locations.
  • Identify adverse claim trends and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Conduct regular reviews with our third-party administrator to ensure claims are being handled appropriately.
  • Track all Workers' Compensation claims using our internal system.
  • Provide timely updates to stakeholders, including internal and external parties.
  • Facilitate employee return-to-work initiatives and collaborate with healthcare providers.

Qualifications
  • 10+ years in claims administration.
  • 5+ years as adjuster, examiner, or supervisor.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field.
  • 3-5 years of Workers Comp and Auto liability claim handling experience.
  • Experience reviewing and negotiating TPA contracts.
  • Transportation/warehousing experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently.
  • English and Spanish proficiency.
  • Proficient in RMIS systems, Microsoft Office, and video conferencing software.
