Responsible for supporting clients' missions, strategic goals, and operational objectives. Identifies and analyzes relevant client opportunities and threats. Contributes new ideas, improvements, methods to serve client needs, and initiatives that advance the Firm's success.
Key responsibilities include:
Identifies, analyzes, and tracks grant programs, legislation, regulation, and other relevant data or activity from federal, state, local, and foundation sources.
Establishes, maintains, and enhances strong working relationships with external parties, including but not limited to government officials, funders, trade associations, and community leaders.
Develops and implements strategies to support clients' strategic goals and achieve operational objectives.
Advocates for public policy and grant program outcomes in support of clients' goals and objectives.
Develops, writes, edits, and submits grant proposals, responses, and other communications to funders.
Represents the Firm to clients and other external parties.
Produces regular reports of activity for legal compliance and client updates.
Provides content for social media, website, and other publications.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree.
3 to 8 years of industry experience.
Grant writing experience preferred.
Experience working with local, state, and federal policy-making agencies, processes, and people.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to provide excellent contributions while managing simultaneous projects.
Excellent writing skills and analytical abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, remote environment.
Confidentiality, excellent organizational skills, and accuracy are required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace/Products required.
Self-motivated and can work with minimal supervision and consistently meet deadlines.
Must have unrestricted access to a computer, Internet, and smartphone.
Physical requirements:
Consistently requires sitting for a majority of the day to complete essential job duties on the computer and telephone.
Consistently requires auditory abilities to efficiently listen and effectively communicate with clients, vendors, and staff to carry out essential job duties.
Occasionally requires standing to scan, print, and copy job-related documents to carry out job duties.
Occasional overnight travel by land and/or air may be necessary.
